YOU’RE INVITED to join the Monday Morning Bible Study group as we learn to apply the Bible to our daily lives by studying the Daily Discipleship series, based on the weekly lectionary texts.  We meet at 10:15 AM Monday mornings in Adult III across from Trinity’s Office, and finish up around noon.  Please join us for study, snacks, and fellowship.  (Some in the group go out to lunch afterwards, too!)

TRINITY’S MEN’S GROUP meets every Tuesday at McDonald’s near the Turnpike entrance at 9:00 AM  We welcome any men that would like to join us for this coffee fellowship.  For more information, contact John Minnich at 445-7660.

MUTUAL MINISTRY MEETING for Vicar Anna Haugen meets Tuesday, February 14 at 7:00 PM at the home of Bev Anderson.

THE MARYS AND MARTHAS meet on Wednesday, February 15 at the Lutheran Commons on Berlin Plank Road hosted by Deb Stewart and Alice Fritz at 7:00 PM  They do studies and articles from the ELCA women’s magazine, Gather.  Extra copies are available in the Chapel kiosk.  Join in for study, food, and fellowship!

PASTOR’S CLASS “LUTHERAN BASICS” begins meeting in Lent during the Sunday School hour.  If you are interested in learning more about what Lutherans believe, or would like to become a part of the mission and ministry of this congregation, please speak with Pastor Linda.  This is a great “refresher” course for Lutherans of all ages.  Each week, fellowship and coffee begins at 8:45 AM the class begins soon thereafter in the Parlor, located in the Educational Building (across from the Chapel).  New members will be received Easter week when the course is completed.

THE NEXT YOUNG ADULT LUNCHEON is scheduled for Sunday, February 26 after 10:00 AM worship at the home of Peter and Donna Jacobson.  Call the Office or Vicar Anna at 445-5446 if you plan to come.  Mark your calendars!

MIDWEEK LENTEN WORSHIP SERVICES will be held in Trinity’s Chapel each Wednesday at 7:00 PM beginning February 29, with the theme “Companions on the Journey.”

FROM TRINITY’S OFFICE…

THE PARLOR CLASS meets across from the Chapel at 8:45 AM. The class is watching the second half of the video study of Romans. All adults are invited for learning, fellowship, and refreshments!

THE BUILDERS’ CLASS is studying a course Sundays at 8:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall through February called “God Establishes a Faithful People” by Margaret Krych, a retired professor from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. She guides us through Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Galatians, learning about God’s faithfulness and promises to a covenant people. Join us for study, fellowship, and refreshments!

 “MY FAVORITE HYMNS” FORMS are available in the Narthex and Chapel areas. As you are sitting in worship and think of hymns you would like to sing, please jot down the names/numbers of them on the form and place it in the offering plate.   This helps the Hymn Selection Committee to select some familiar hymns for worship for the various seasons. Thank you!

ANNUAL 5K/10K DAILY AMERICAN RACE AND FITNESS CHALLENGE:  It’s time to get in shape for 2012!  The Daily American Fitness Challenge began February 5 and runs for 12 weeks until Saturday, April 28.  We are organizing our team to represent Trinity in the Saturday, June 9 race, and we need team members to join in getting fit!  Sally Miller will be Trinity’s Team Coordinator once again.   This year, the money raised goes to the SAM Van and the Somerset Fire Department.  Please let Sally Miller (814) 395-5593 know if you are interested in being on the team as soon as possible.

MONTHLY HEALING/COMMUNION SERVICES for the next two months will be held in area Nursing Homes as they were last year. The next services are next Sunday, February 19 - 2:30 PM at Patriot Manor; and on Sunday, March 18 - 2:00 PM at Siemon Lakeview Manor. Join us, especially if you have family or friends residing there!
